Permissions

Manage fine-grained permissions across different modules in your workspace

🔐 Permissions

Permissions offer fine-grained control over what each role can do across the different modules of Wraft.

Workspace Permissions

Managing Permissions

Manage permissions by:

  • Modules: Control access to key sections like Templates, Forms, Pipelines, Documents, Variants, and more. Each module can be turned on or off per role.
  • Access Levels:
    • View: Users can only read or preview the content
    • Edit: Users can modify or contribute to content within that module
    • Admin: Users have full control, including ability to configure settings and delete content

Permissions can be assigned per module, giving you total flexibility in how you delegate responsibilities.

⚠️ Warning: Proper use of permissions ensures sensitive content stays secure, and only authorized users can take actions that impact workflows and deliverables.

💡 Best Practices

  • Define Roles Clearly: Avoid giving blanket permissions to all users. Instead, create specialized roles to reflect real responsibilities.
  • Limit Admin Access: Only trusted users should have admin rights to prevent unauthorized changes or data loss.
  • Audit Regularly: Periodically review roles and permissions to ensure access levels remain appropriate as your team or organization evolves.
  • Use Descriptive Role Names: Make it easy to understand what each role can do
  • Start with Minimal Permissions: You can always add more permissions later, but removing them can be disruptive

By effectively managing permissions, you ensure clarity, accountability, and security within your Wraft workspace. This level of control helps scale collaboration without compromising on governance.
