Create professional, data-driven documents efficiently using Wraft's streamlined process. Generate contracts, agreements, reports, and other business documents with consistent formatting and automated field population.
Document creation combines your configured Templates, Variants, Layouts, and Flows to produce professional outputs with minimal manual effort.
Getting Started
1. Initiate Document Creation
Click the Plus button in the top-right corner of the sidebar to begin.
2. Select Your Template
Choose from your available templates. Each template is linked to a Variant that defines the required fields for completion.
Field Completion Process
Input Required Data
Complete the form with values for each dynamic field defined by your template's Variant:
Common field types include:
- Text fields: Names, addresses, descriptions
- Dates: Contract dates, deadlines, milestones
- Numbers: Amounts, quantities, percentages
- Selections: Dropdowns with predefined options
Validation and Accuracy
- All required fields must be completed before proceeding
- Use provided formats and constraints to ensure data consistency
- Review entries for accuracy before advancing to the next step
Verify all field values carefully—corrections after PDF generation require recreating the document.
Document Review and Editing
Editor Interface
The editor displays your template with populated field values. Use this stage to:
- Verify field substitution: Confirm all placeholders are correctly replaced
- Review content flow: Ensure logical structure and readability
- Make final adjustments: Edit any content that requires modification
- Check formatting: Confirm proper alignment and presentation
Save Your Work
Click Save to preserve your document draft before generation.
PDF Generation
Generate Final Document
Click Generate to compile your final document using:
- Selected Layout for structure and styling
- Chosen Theme for fonts and formatting
- Your completed content and field values
Final Output
Receive a professionally formatted PDF ready for distribution, signatures, or archiving.
